Twisted piers are the modern form of Tudor chimney stacks. Although, Tudor stacks are largely shaped bricks giving the illusion or twists, whereas the modern day twist uses standard shaped bricks.
The usual method for constructing these pier, drawing a circle and plumbing from that, is very time consuming and therefore very expensive.
